| Capital Kids Connection | Serving Mason and Thurston Counties | Capital Kids Connection will use their PJ Bowl funds to provide "exit of care" gift baskets to our graduating foster youth who are high school seniors. Did you know nation wide only 18% of foster kids graduate from high school? We want to make sure they get the best start possible by helping them set things up for their new place to live! We want to help celebrate their huge accomplishment! |
| CHAP FWD Foster Care at Compass Health | Serving Snohomish County | The funds we receive from the PJ Bowl go directly towards providing a summer camp for foster children that are unable to attend regular camps. Due to mental health and behavioral issues, many of the foster children in our program are unable to experience the joys and excitement of summer camps. We provide group camping experiences full of games, sports, team building, and field trips to some of Western Washington's attractions. Thanks to your funding we have been able to take the kids on the Ducks, to EMP, the zoo, and other activities they may never have experienced before, while being closely monitored by trained staff that are able to help them through the experience. |
| Community and Family Services Foundation | Serving King, Pierce and Kitsap Counties | Throughout the summer, CFSF holds its weekly "Thursday-At-The-Lake" days, where all of our foster children are invited to the home of the Executive Director for a day filled with swimming, games, visiting and a barbecue. Any funds raised at the Sleep Country Pajama Bowl will be put directly toward the epense of this weekly event (which includes life guard, water safety devices, water toys, prizes and food). |
| Families for Kids | Serving Washington State | Families For Kids is a program of Lutheran Community Services. We recruit, train and advocate for foster families across the state. We provide lots of support in the way of monthly support groups, fun family activities, child care, holiday presents, school supplies and clothing for foster children, and much more. We actively work with the legislature and DSHS to improve the foster care system across the state, to make it a better place for relative caregivers, foster parents and the children in their care. |
| Intensive Children's Services/Kitsap Mental Health | Serving Kitsap, Jefferson, Mason, and Pierce Counties | Donations received will be put toward both sponsoring foster children at summer camp and a "Wishes & Dreams Program" which helps abused or neglected children by granting them life experiences and memories that most children receive as just a regular part of growing up. |
| Olive Crest | Serving Washington State | As an honored recipient of funds from Sleep Country's Pajama Bowl, Olive Crest is better able to provide more children with individualized services. Funds from the event are specially targeted towards the immediate needs of the children and families served by Olive Crest programs, with primary emphasis placed on educational support. Some additional needs include tutoring, counseling or the opportunity to experience summer camp for the first time. |
| Treehouse | Serving King County | Imagine dropping out of little league because you can't afford a uniform or falling behind in school because you've had to move four times this year alone. Imagine wanting to go to college, but not having the support to help you get there. Treehouse helps foster kids by paying for activities, providing free tutoring and offering other services that give them a real childhood as well as hope for the future. |
