Frequently Asked Questions
Pajama Bowl Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How much does it cost?
Each team must raise a minimum of $250. A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required at time of registration and the remaining $200 can be paid online or turned in at the event.
2. Can I raise more than $250?
Yes, you can raise as much money as you would like! For every $50 over the $250 minimum raised you receive extra 100 points.
3. How do I win?
We use a points system to determine the winning teams. The highest scoring team in each state* will be declared the winners of Pajama Bowl.
4. What do I win?
The winning team from each state will receive the event’s grand prize – a queen-size Beautyrest Mattress set for each of its members (5 members per team). Other prizes include latex pillows, bowling packages, gift certificates, and a variety of other items that will be awarded throughout the event..
5. Where does my money go?
100% of your team’s donations will be presented to the nonprofit organization that your team captain designates during registration. All money donated to your team by non-team-members will go to the same nonprofit your team captain chooses. (For example: If your neighbor decides to donate $50 to your team, that money will automatically go to the nonprofit your team captain selected – your neighbor will not be able to choose another nonprofit recipient.)
6. I want to register for Big Al’s in Vancouver but when I go to the Washington events page I only see ACME and TechCity.
Because Vancouver sits on the Oregon border we consider it a part of our Oregon event. Please click on Oregon and you will find all the details for both the Vancouver and Beaverton alleys.
7. What do I do if I don’t have 5 people on my team?
You are not required to have five bowlers on your team. You may have anywhere from one to five bowlers on your team, but you will still be required to contribute the $250 participation fee.
8. If I don’t have a team can I be put on a team?
If you don’t have a team and are looking to pair up with others to form a team, please contact Jarrett Tomalin at (253) 236-0921, or email him at pajamabowl@sleepcounty.com.
9. I don’t have a team but I’d still like to donate.
If there isn’t a specific team you’d like to sponsor, please feel free to donate online at www.sleepcountry.com. Your donation will be received by the Ticket to Dream Foundation, our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which operates as Sleep Country Foster Kids.
10. Do I have to wear pajamas?
Pajamas are not required, but your team will earn points for wearing them – in fact, teams whose members all sport sleepwear will receive an additional 100 points! Plus, the teams wearing the best pajamas have a chance to win prizes! Typically, the only people at the event not wearing pajamas are the bowling alley staff.
